The International Dart Players Association was inaugurated in 1994 and is an independent darts body that is officially recognised by the World Darts Federation and all it’s National Governing Bodies and consists of players of both sexes from around the world.

Since it’s conception the IDPA has created a forum for discussion and co-operation between all players and darts governing bodies of the WDF. the forum that has been created plays an important and essential role in the sport of darts and has proved have become of great benefit and assistance to all dart players.

The IDPA offers a central information centre for all it’s members with a full range of professional services that include legal and financial advice. Tournament travel packages, flights, hotels and entries can be booked on line. Assistance is also given to members in obtaining much needed sponsorship, negotiation of contracts, and representation at all times. The IDPA also offers full business management services to individual members, including legal and financial advice and this service has been proved to be an essential service for members playing careers and in the promotion of the sport of darts.

Our web site idpa.co.uk keeps members up to date with all the news and information to enhance a members playing career. A great site that is easy to access with “hits” recorded from all over the world.

In addition the IDPA has introduced a professional arena the  IDPA  Foundation where registered professional players become eligible for Tournaments based on the IDPA’s own  private professional ranking system. Members must qualify for a Tour card to play in IDPA promoted Tournaments.

Also the IDPA has introduced a Amateur status membership for those who wish not to play the Professional circuit on a regular basis. Registered  players will have the chance to take part in a system that is enjoyed by professional  members in our sport. i.e Tournament play, ranking system, codes of discipline and conduct. set playing rules and format.

The IDPA acts as a body through which it’s members may voice their opinions, their thoughts and ideas on all aspects of the sport of darts, To further promote the sport of darts on behalf of  it’s members the IDPA undertakes many projects to provide a positive playing arena for all dart players, irrespective of ability. The importance of the IDPA to the sport of darts has become most evident through the fact that our Association is regularly asked to attend meetings with the sports Governing Bodies, sponsors, and promoters.

Information, assistance advice and a full range of the above services are just a telephone call or e-mail away. Players play darts and the IDPA acts on their behalf.
